A very large whole specimen of dino dung coprolite / Septarian nodule from New Mexico, with amazing webbing and colorization. 1/2 of the webbing is black, the other is brown/orange crystals. This is a one-of-a-kind specimen. It weighs 12 pounds 3 ounces, measures 12-1/2 inches by 7-1/2 inches, and has a height 3 inches. This specimen is most likely from the Jurassic Era.

 This is a polished Slab from an Utah Septarian Nodule. Average size measures 7 x 5 x 1/2". This one has lots of Brown Aragonite with contrasting Yellow Calcite and a beautiful polish.
Septarian's are commonly composed of a carbonate mineral such as Calcite, a microcrystalline form of Silica as in Flint or Jasper, or an Iron Oxide such as Hematite. These specimens are also known as a concretion which is a type of sedimentary rock.

Septarians were formed millions of years ago by sediment forming around a fossil to create a mud ball transforming the fossil into Calcite and Aragonite.
