Huge Himalayan Rainbow Smokey Quartz Vajra Dorje Nepal Art
This is a huge partly smokey Quartz Crystal Vajra Dorje from Nepal. I brought it
back with me from my last trip there. It was very well carved and its size is
most impressive. Very clear for the most part with a just a few scattered
inclusions inside here and there. One of them produces a magnificent rainbow.
Well polished.
In many Asian countries particularly Tibet and Nepal the Vajra is believed to
bring good luck and ward off evil. It is known as the thunderbolt which can not
be destroyed but destroys all ignorance and evil.
A nice protective box for transport and display is included. The only thing
about the box is the string that holds the lid down by wrapping around the button
broke. Otherwise the box is fine and I think someone with simple sewing skills
could make a new string if they wanted to.
A few minor divots here and there but it is just mostly where some natural
inclusions come to the surface of the stone.
